MY STORY

I grew up in Novi, Michigan, 30 minutes from Detroit.  I LOVE baking!  Cooking and baking for others has been a life-long treat for me.  Some of my fondest childhood memories are helping my mom bake cookies, cakes, breads, etc.  She is a wonderful teacher and taught me not only the fundamentals, but more importantly the joy of cooking and baking for others.  I’ll never forget my sixth birthday when she made a Barbie cake for me.  I can still remember how special it made me feel.  Now, almost 30 years later, I want to create the same kind of memorable cakes for my loved ones and my friends' loved ones.

 

In 2005, baking changed my life when I decided the best way to meet my charming, French neighbour was to bake him some chocolate chip cookies.  It worked!  We were married in 2006 and have two beautiful children.  We now live in my husband’s home town of Veyrier du Lac just outside the beautiful city of Annecy in the French Alps.  It comes as no surprise that my love of food, desserts and all things culinary has continued to grow here in France.  I now bake desserts using American recipes and techniques with mostly French ingredients…an amazing combination!  The overwhelming praise of my desserts from friends and family led me to start my own cake-making business.  I am so pleased to be able to offer personal, one-of-a-kind cakes to my clients in and around Annecy and Geneva.
